Month in Review: back in the news
Joy, Dreams, and I are getting some ink
In one of my former lives I was a journalist writing for a regional newspaper.
It’s been a long time and a couple of careers since that time. But in my dreams, at least, I often find myself back in the newsroom filing stories, attending editorial meetings, and sometimes returning to my desk after having been away for a long time–and finding someone else seated there.
Well, this past month my name started popping up in local newspapers once again.
A story about my book Dreaming on the Page was featured in the Springfield Republican newspaper on August 11.
And my letter to the editor on the theme of Joy appeared in several local papers recently as well. Because, joy is back in the news. And that’s a good thing, for a lot of reasons.
You can read the letter in its entirety here.
