Dreaming (Like Poetry) Is Not a Luxury
Rather than being a luxury, poetry (and dreams) should be a vital part of education—and not just for students in elite schools, but for everyone, including the teen mothers, new immigrants who are learning English, and adults in literacy programs whom I have the privilege to teach.
